Shared working
Not traditionally in the business of property development, Wise has taken strategic steps to meet community and business needs.
1. Develop a new way of working that will create hubs for community mental health organisations.
In 2006 Wise opened the Group's first shared office, Harakeke House in Manukau City. This was followed in 2007 by shared offices in Wellington, 2008 in Hamilton and Thames, 2010 in Auckland and Christchurch and 2011 in New Plymouth. The Group's offices accommodate various community mental health organisations. They have become more than just buildings. They are conduits for people and ideas, sharing and learning and new ways of working.
2. Take a sustainable approach to creating a shared working environment.
In 2008 Wise opened a four-star green building, Kakariki House, in Hamilton. Merging together people and practice to become a local hub for mental health organisations, Kakariki House is a sustainable, energy efficient work environment.
