Alan Grainer

Group manager - strategic information services / Chief executive, Wild Bamboo

Alan joins the Wise Group after seven years as chief information officer at Waikato District Health Board (WDHB). A keen gardener and DIY home renovator, Alan has a background in social work and public policy in addition to more than 20 years’ experience in the IT industry.

Born in the UK, Alan immigrated to the Hawke’s Bay when he was nine, and spent the 20 years prior to his move to Waikato DHB in Wellington. Alan is passionate about the role of information in strategic decision making and is looking forward to applying his wealth of experience to inform the Wise IS team.
