Mike Pratt

Mike Pratt is past Dean of the Waikato Management School and known for his "Peak Performance" book and courses, which he co-authored in 2002 with Clive Gilson, Kevin Roberts and Ed Weymes. The book tells the stories of ten worldwide sporting organisations that have experienced unparalleled long-term success, and details the approaches that have led to their sustained success. His latest book, released in December 2009, investigates models of some of the world's most sustainable enterprises and makes Mike an expert on the subject. It is based on research with some of the world’s biggest sustainable enterprises, such as the Body Shop. Mike joined the University of Waikato in 1990 as Dean of the Waikato Management School, a role he held until the end of 2007. His scholarly interests embrace accountability, organisation theory, leadership, managing change, and the new economy. Mike is a former member of the board of Sustainable Network Interests in New Zealand. Mike has been consulting regularly to a large range of organisations for the last fifteen years in decision support systems, auditing, leadership, and change management. He has taught on several MBA programmes internationally and delivered management development seminars in a wide range of subjects. |
